Open Lecture Series Welcome Patron Partners, Lex Mundi, Lex Interamericana, Tec de Monterrey and Special Invitees! Georgetown University Law CLE and Lex Mercator have assembled an outstanding cadre of American professors and practitioners to deliver the live, interactive, online lectures direct from the United States. You can participate from anywhere, and here's the best news...the Open Lectures are free of charge. Just as the name implies, the Open Lecture Series is open to lawyers, accountants, and banking professionals from across Latin America. Each 45-60 minute lecture will include a theme that is relevant to your practice and important to your professional development. You can participate right from the computer in your office. However, since the lectures are live, space is limited, and you can reserve your spot by completing the form on this webpage. Space is limited. Debra S. Lee has been teaching Legal English and legal
writing courses at several prestigious U.S. law schools for nearly 15
years. She regularly leads workshops and seminars for law schools in
Europe and has been recognized as an English as a Second Language (ESL)
expert by the U.S. State Department. She is a co-author of American
Legal English, one of the leading textbooks in the field. Ms.
Lee is the president of Language 4 Law, Inc., an organization which
develops online tools to assist lawyers improve English language
skills. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Law School,
and is currently pursuing her doctorate in education technology at the
same institution.
